SSC CGL Apply Online Link 2024

Candidates can apply online for the SSC CGL Exam from 24th June to 24th July, 2024. Candidates must register online for the SSC CGL 2024 exam using the registration link activated since 24th June, 2024 at www.ssc.nic.in. The online form must be submitted by the registration deadline of 24th July, 2024, while the last date to pay the online application fees is 25th July, 2024. How to Apply Online for SSC CGL 2024?

The SSC CGL Application Form must be submitted only only through the SSC CGL site (official website of SSC). The application process broadly comprises the following steps:

The 1st stage is online registration on the official website.
2nd stage involves uploading photo and signature of the candidate.
The 3rd stage is filling of the online application form.
In the 4th stage, candidates have to submit the SSC CGL form fees.

Let us now look at the detailed steps in each of the SSC CGL Apply Online stages. Go through the following steps to fill the SSC CGL Application Form:

Stage 1: SSC CGL 2024 Online Registration Process

Step 1: Go to the official website of SSC.

Step 2: Now, click the “Apply” tab and then click on “CGL Link”.

Step 3: Select the link for "New User/Register Now."

Step 4: Carefully enter your details such as your Name, Father’s Name, Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, Mother’s Name, Email ID and Mobile Number

Step 5: You will receive the OTP on your registered Mobile Number and Email ID. Enter this OTP and click on Submit.

Step 6: The system will send your SSC CGL Registration Details comprising the registration number and password through SMS/Mail. Using the same, you can login and proced to complete the application process.

Stage 2: Upload Photo and Signature for SSC CGL Application Form

The next step or Step 7 for SSC CGL Apply Online process is to upload the scanned images of your passport size photograph and signature. Make sure the photo/image size is in the following format and dimensions. You can also use the Testbook Photo Cropping and Image Resizing Tool to get the exact size and dimension you need to fill the form

Stage 3: Fill in the details in the SSC CGL Application Form 2024

Step 8: Carefully enter your personal details, contact number and educational qualification information like (category, gender, nationality, College/University name, passing year, roll number, score/marks, and other details.

Step 9: Choose at least 3 exam centres in the same region of your preference.

Step 10: Select the post name i.e. Junior Statistical Officer or Statistical Investigator Grade-II.

Step 11: Now, carefully read the declaration, check the “I Agree” box and proceed to enter the captcha code.

Also do not forget to check the SSC CGL Cut off to get an idea about the qualifying marks.

Stage 4: Pay SSC CGL Form Fees 2024

The last step is the fee payment i.e. submission of the application fee. The application fees for SSC CGL Apply Online process is INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. Whereas, Female, SC, ST, PwD candidates and Ex-Servicemen do not have to pay any application fees. You can pay the fee through online and offline mode.

For Offline Mode: You have to generate offline challan from the SSC website and submit the application fees in cash and challan at any State Bank of India (SBI) branch
For Online Mode: You have to select the payment mode amongst Net banking, BHIM UPI, Debit card or Credit Card and put the banking details in the payment gateway to submit the fees.

Step 12: Finally, submit the form to proceed to the SSC CGL form fees payment.

Documents Required For SSC CGL Form Fill Up

Before beginning to fill out the SSC CGL online application form, you need to keep the following documents with you-

Scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
Photo Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card/ Printout of E-Aadhaar, Voter’s ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, ID Card issued by University/ College/ School, Employer ID Card (Govt./ PSU), Ex-Serviceman Discharge Book issued by Ministry of Defence, Any other photo bearing ID Card issued by the Central/ State Government.)
Educational Details –10th Roll Number, Board Name, Marks, Passing year details
Category Certificates (If applicable)
PWD Certificate Proof (If applicable)
PwD Certificate details, if applicable
Email ID (active)

Instructions to Fill SSC CGL Online Application Form

Before filling up the online form for SSC CGL, candidates are advised to go through the instructions for filling up the online form. Candidates should keep the following points in mind while filling the online SSC CGL form –

1. Email Id & Number should be active after filling the form as the Commission will contact candidates using these very credentials.

2. Claims made by the candidates in the application form should be evidence based with proper documentary proof. The same will be verified at the time of the Certificate Verification and Interview process.

3. Inappropriate photographs and signatures will lead to rejection. The candidate has to stand/sit before the camera when prompted by the application module and follow the following instructions while capturing the photograph:

Find a place with good light and plain background.
Ensure the camera is at eye level before taking the photo.
Position himself directly in front of the camera and look straight ahead.
Ensure that your face is fully inside the red rectangular area delineated by the camera and that it is neither too close nor too far. It should cover the area fully and no part of the face should be outside the rectangle.
Candidates shouldn’t wear a cap, mask or glasses/spectacles while capturing the photo

4. Appearance during the day of the examination is as per the photograph in application form, otherwise candidates will not be allowed to the examination hall.

5. In no case should the candidate capture the photographs of his/her pre-existing photograph. All such applications where the photographs of his/her pre-existing photograph is captured will be rejected.
